Rouen Tourism and its offices
Welcome and inform tourists about Rouen and Normandy
The development of this large territory is donethrough the reception, information of the public and tourist promotion of Rouen and the Seine Valley in order to increase the notoriety of the destination. The Tourist Office responds to your requests throughout the year: information on tourist activities, search for accommodation, preparation of stay or vacation, purchase of local products (Shop / Bookstore of the Tourist Office), purchase of your tickets for concerts, shows, amusement parks in Rouen, Normandy or Paris, exchange of currency (Bureau de change), organization of professional or private events in the Claude Monet Workshop …
The Finance Office
Installed since 1959 in the oldest surviving Renaissance monument in Rouen, the Finance Office, the Tourist Office is a real support to restaurateurs, hoteliers, tourist structures in areas such as reception, information but also the mission Tourism & Handicap.
The Tourist Office, although classified since December 2013 in category I by the Ministry of Tourism, labeled “Tourism Handicap” and certified “Quality Tourism”, no longer meets the spirit of “new generation tourist offices”. Indeed, the evolution of behaviors and consumption patterns of visitors are changing and the reception areas must therefore adapt to these new expectations. Also, the restoration of the building began in September 2022 and will continue for 3 years. A new reception area at the Fine Arts Museum for visitors opened in September 2022. Drawing on the history of the venue, the Rouen Museum of Fine Arts, and the brand new identity, the architectural studio proposed a unique project with special attention to the choice of materials and the optimization of spaces for the comfort of visitors and visitor advisors.
