A free art eventCreated in 2002, Nuit Blanche is an annual art event organized by the City of Paris. Since 2019, the City of Paris has partnered with the Métropole du Grand Paris to offer the public a programming extending across all the metropolitan communes. Severalforeign cities also organize variations of Nuit Blanche.
For one night, contemporary creation takes center stage in the city, public space, prestigious monuments and buildingsunknown or inaccessible to the public under normal circumstances. The event is free and open to all, so make the most of it.
And in 2023, for the second year running, Le Havre and Rouen are taking part.
Nuit Blanche in Rouen,
for the second year runningThis Saturday, June 3, 2023, Nuit Blanche takes an artistic look at the Seine Axis. An engine of cultural influence and economic development, the Seine flows through Paris, the Greater Paris Metropolis and reaches Rouen and Le Havre. With over 200 projects presented, the fruit of the creativity of as many artists, and some thirty foreign cities offering their Nuit Blanche including Kyoto, Singapore, Taipei, Dallas, Winnipeg, Oran, Riga, this new edition promises to be exceptional.
Spanish artist Javier Riera will propose adigital installation entitled Geometric Resonance: light projections with geometric in-situ and monumental shapes that come to reveal, at nightfall, the surrounding nature. . The work will be on view simultaneously in Paris (Square du Vert-Galant), Rouen (Square Charles-Verdrel) and Havre (Square Saint-Roch).
