SPRING Festival

New circus forms in Normandy

SPRING has become a not-to-be-missed event in the Normandy region. The festival, co-organized by Plateforme 2 Pôles Cirque en Normandie, brings together La Brèche in Cherbourg, Cirque-Théâtre d’Elbeuf and Métropole Rouen Normandie.

The only one of its kind, it’s the first international festival of contemporary circus on a regional scale. This year, you’ll be able to enjoy shows and encounters combining circus with all other artistic disciplines: dance, theater, music, visual arts…

The aim of the festival?

A SPRING for everyone in Normandy

SPRING’s main aim is to reach out to local residents throughout the country, offering them the chance to discover contemporary circus, even in the smallest towns and villages without a performance venue.

In addition, SPRING is interested in the young generation of talent as well as established artists. A place for experimentation for some, a spotlight for others, each edition of SPRING is an opportunity to highlight artistic paths by presenting several shows by the same artist or company, and to emphasize a trend, a current, one or more themes.
