The heart of Rouen comes alive as the festive season approaches. Christmas and designer markets, a frosted refuge, entertainment, illuminations and new features… Here’s what’s in store for Rouen Givrée 2024, from November 21 to January 5!

Rouen Christmas Market

Dates and times

From Thursday November 21 to Tuesday December 24, 2024, the little white huts, adorned with garlands, will take their place on the Cathedral square. 50 chalets will be on hand to offer authentic, high-quality local products and creations. The atmosphere at the market is warm and friendly. Don’t forget to try the famous vin chaud de Noël* or the bûche Normande, and enjoy a host of sweet and savoury treats prepared in the traditional way. And don’t forget to visit Santa’s chalet, the star of the festive season. Rouen Christmas market opening times:

Monday: 2pm to 8pm
Tuesday to Thursday: 11am to 8pm
Friday: 11am to 9pm
Saturday: 10am to 9pm
Sunday: 10am to 8pm
Tuesday, December 24th: 10am to 6pm

Rouen Givrée 2024

Highlights

From November 21, 2024 to January 5, 2025, Rouen Givrée invites you to a variety of festive events to mark the festive season.

Grand Christmas Parade: 10 floats, 120 dancers and Santa Claus on his sleigh parade through the streets of Rouen on December 1. Departure from Place des Emmurées at 5pm, arrival around 6pm on the square in front of the Hôtel de Ville.
Vélo parage givrée: Customize your bike, dress up and take part in a frosty 5km parade on December 7! Or just watch! Departure at 5.30pm from the town hall square, arrival at Place de la Calende at 6.45pm.
Normandy Christmas Ugly Sweater Championship: Register now to take part in the competition and win up to €300 in gift vouchers and the title of Normandy Christmas Ugly Sweater Champion 2024! Election on December 15, in the Jardin des Contemplations, Place de la Cathédrale.
Afterwork evenings with concerts, gospel and DJ sets on Fridays and Saturdays, Place de la Cathédrale. Discover the schedule.
Sports activities: ice gala at the skating rink, jogging, aquatic activities… Discover the program.
Games galore: take part in the games and activities set up in front of the Musée des Beaux-Arts. Climbing wall, snook ball, pirate shooting and wooden games await you on December 21.
