Rouen, a student city

The Réseau Astuce public transport network makes it easy to get around: the various TEOR and metro lines take you right to the main universities and schools. Did you know that the capital of Normandy ranks 1st in the top 10 cities in France with the most bars*? Enough to convince more than one student!

Eight are located in Rouen, including the Musée des Beaux-Arts and its permanent collections, the Musée de la ferronnerie (Le Secq des Tournelles), the Musée des Antiquités and the Muséum d’histoire naturelle… The Munaé, Musée National de l’Éducation, also welcomes you free of charge! Culture is within everyone’s reach, so there’s no reason not to visit these downtown museums.
Rouen is also the scene of free events that enliven the city throughout the year: from July to mid-September, the majestic Cathedral lights up to the tune of a son et lumière show every evening. During the summer, you’ll also find the terrasses du jeudi in the month of July, as well as Rouen sur Mer on the quays of the Seine. In winter, Rouen Givrée awaits you with its pretty Christmas market on Place de la Cathédrale.
