Coming to Rouen

    1? hours to get to Normandy from Paris, 3 hours from Lille and 5? hours from Lyon. Free-flow toll motorways have been in place since 2024. How does your journey work? Signs indicate that you are entering a section of free-flow toll motorway. As you pass through, gantries detect your vehicle and record the necessary information, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). A ZFE-m is in force in the Rouen-Normandie metropolitan area. A Low Emission Zone (ZFE-m) is a delimited geographical area where the circulation of the most polluting vehicles is restricted.       Rouen Rive-Droite station is connected to the major French and European destinations (Rouen – Paris: 1h15, Rouen – Lille: 3h30 via Paris or Amiens, Rouen – Lyon: 3h45 with a direct departure every day, Rouen – Brussels: 5h via Paris and Lille, Rouen – Marseille: 5h30).       Rouen is close to 3 airports offering links to major European cities. Charles de Gaulle airport, 1 hour 45 minutes from Rouen, offers destinations to and from all over the world. Beauvais-Tillé airport is a low-cost airport ideally located for coming to Normandy. It is 1? hours from Rouen and serves European capitals and North Africa. Rouen also has its own airport, located 10 km from the city centre, specialising in business travel.

    Getting around Rouen

Accessible to as many people as possible, public transport in Rouen is a real alternative to the car, making it easy to get around the city centre and the surrounding areas. Buy your tickets at the Tourist Office or directly at the bus stops. For lovers of sport and environmentally-friendly means of transport, the Rouen and Jumièges Tourist Office offers a range of bikes for hire from April to October. You can also use Lovélo self-service for 1 day, 7 days or even longer: Rouen has a large fleet of bikes for hire, spread over 61 stations throughout the city. The first thirty minutes are free. Taxis are also available to take you from the station, for example. Farnes taxis and yellow taxis are available.
