This 4000-hectare forest welcomes almost a million visitors every year and has been awarded the "forêt d'exception" label. This label promotes the quality of the heritage and the partnership management between the Roumare, Green Forest and La Londe Rouvray forests. It has also been awarded the Tourisme Handicap label. The forest is home to a wide variety of beech, oak and Scots pine trees. Deciduous forest (beech and oak) predominates, but there are also large areas of coniferous trees.
A wildlife park is located at the Hêtre des Gardes crossroads. Here you can see deer, roe deer, wild boar and fallow deer roaming freely. There's also an arboretum called "arboretum du Petit Charme", plot 268, route forestière du Petit Charme. There's also a sports area for the general public, plot 106, and hiking trails.
