Animals in museums

Can you spot the animals in Rouen’s museum collections? They’re hiding in the Musée de la Céramique and the Musée du Secq des Tournelles. Bats, unicorns, bears, dragons and fish are just some of the animals to be found on this feathered and scaly tour, which will reveal some surprising stories about Rouen’s iron and ceramics heritage.

Ocean, an unusual dive exhibition

Explore the fascinating world of the ocean, plunging into the heart of plankton, microscopic organisms crucial to the Earth’s ecological balance. Take control of the nautilus and discover the technological prowess of human ocean exploration. Meet the fauna, while exploring the sometimes complex relationships between humans and marine biodiversity. Thanks to interactive features, this exhibition, designed by the Muséum national d’histoire naturelle, offers an in-depth understanding of life in the ocean.

Dress for School” exhibition

Highlighting the dress of both pupils and teachers since the 1880s, the exhibition also examines the role of clothing in teaching, adopting a comparative approach with the UK. Structured in three parts, it invites visitors to explore the interplay of styles and the place of clothing between the school and the domestic sphere, the regulation and role of clothing in defining roles, and the way in which teachers look at school. A fascinating dive into the history of educational clothing.
