- Rouen in the moonlight: With your torch in hand, discover Rouen at nightfall, when the narrow streets are filled with mystery and forgotten stories. With gargoyles, criminal legends, soundscapes and lighting effects, this immersive, sensory tour reveals a poetic, intriguing and delightfully chilling city in a whole new light.
- An evening at the museum:After the Musée des Beaux-Arts has closed, enjoy an exclusive visit in the quiet of the evening, in a small group, far from the usual hustle and bustle. In this privileged atmosphere, time seems to stand still, offering an intimate and rare encounter with the masterpieces, conducive to contemplation and exchange.

Thursdays and Fridays during school holidays
Test your olfactory creativity by composing a perfume totally personalised to your image in a charming perfume shop in the heart of the historic centre. Eugénie and Charles will guide you through a selection of over 40 French fragrances.

From 16 to 26 February
The Musée des Beaux-Arts invites children aged 6-8 and 9-15 to themed workshops during the holidays. This winter: draw your own comic strip, experiment with 3 types of pencil, contrasting colours, draw your favourites from the museum.
Coat of arms modelling workshop
Wednesday 18 February
After your visit to Jumièges Abbey, you and your children are invited to work together to create your own royal coat of arms, inspired by the one on display in the abbey. It’s a fun and creative way for the whole family to discover the basics of heraldry and the symbolism of coats of arms.

These visit-workshops offered by the Metropole as part of the Villes et Pays d’Art et d’Histoire label are open to children aged 7 to 12. Designed to be fun, they are based on observation to bring heritage within everyone’s reach.
Medieval architecture, the treasure of the monks of Saint-Ouen, and the Saint-Nicaise district will be on the programme for the winter holidays.
Workshop to create a knight puppet
19 and 26 February
At theHistorial Jeanne d’Arc, make and personalise a fully-articulated wooden knight puppet. The coat of arms, helmet and details will take shape as your imagination unfolds, giving birth to a hero ready for great adventures.
3D weaving workshop
Saturday 14th February
At the Fabrique des Savoirs, young and old are invited to experiment with 3D paper weaving to create compositions with striking visual effects. It’s a creative and fun way to discover the art of weaving.

Family clay workshop
Saturday 21 February
Join the whole family for a creative clay workshop at the Aître Saint-Maclou. Children will discover the pleasure of shaping clay according to their imagination and explore contact with the material, while parents will practise modelling techniques.

Discover enamelling on copper at a pendant-making workshop in the Galerie des Arts du Feu at Aître Saint-Maclou. Available as an introductory course for adults or as a family version.

Bats, unicorns, bears, dragons and fish are just some of the animals to be found on this tour of feathers and scales, which will reveal some very surprising stories about our iron and ceramics heritage.

Jumièges Abbey invites you to wander through its ruins, to the rhythm of tales and legends. On 18 and 25 February by prior arrangement
The Historial Jeanne d’Arc takes your children on a journey to the land of frosty tales told by a storyteller and her kamishibaï, a small Japanese picture theatre. Saturday 28 February at 2.30pm and 4.30pm, booking required.

Inaccessible to the public, the Saint-Romain tower opens its doors exclusively for you to discover, with a guide, the fabulous carillon and its 64 bells, the 2nd largest in France. At the top of the tower, the Cathedral’s carillonneur will introduce you to his world.
Murder Game at the Pavillon des Transitions

The Pavillon des Transitions invites you to take part in an immersive Murder Game in which Sherlock Holmes and his brigade investigate a house on the quays of Rouen that has fallen victim to multiple forms of pollution. It’s a fun and exciting way to discover the “Stop Toxics” exhibition and identify the person who is ill, the pollution responsible and the room concerned.

Faced with the challenge of sober building practices, this exhibition reveals the creative and architectural potential of existing resources. Led by students from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Normandie, the project presents prototypes, models and materials derived from reuse, revealing a new way of conceiving architecture through materials.
Bina Baitel exhibition

This exhibition highlights the singular universe of designer and architect Bina Baitel, where design, art and architecture meet through innovative objects and furniture that invite interaction and a rediscovery of everyday life. This first major monographic exhibition in France reveals a selection of emblematic and recent works, showing how Baitel transforms familiar objects into surprising, poetic and sensory pieces.
